Ive noticed the same thing, Im not good with board layout but know a couple of guys who are. I can get them to have a look as Im keen on somnething just like this

This is one of the project I have gathered some bit but havnt started on, I was thinking about the NFC antenna from a sony mobile ands sticking it to the window. I havn't looked into wether or not thats going to work just yet. I'm planing on using an arduino and have an RC522 reader that Im strugling with. Once Im done…

Currently happy to be Australian, our clowns change much quicker
-
Would definatly been keen on some smaller ones, these are bulky as
-
My parts only arrived yesterday. battery is tiny and seemed to go quite quickly but I was in a rush and might not have gotten a full charge into it
-
Sorry and thank you
-
Ive got a couple of the larger ones to play with and a small bluetooth. Im not sure if yours a ouder but mine seems very quiet. Ive got no volume control on the unit and even hard wire to an old set of head phones its still a little quiet. Im about to order an amplifier chip and see if it helps
-
Tricky little things to get your hands on. I would be keen on a couple if you still have them happy to pay postage to Australia
-
Best way to show people magnets that I have found it 2 larger neodymium magnets on either side of a finger 1 on the nail the other holding it. Putting a car battery on charge with the charger and you can feel it, much more intense than the smaller implant.
-
Awesome idea, I might see if I can make something to work off the arms of my glasses now that I see how its done. Implant would be awesome though.
-
When mine was implanted it wasn't in a great spot and I frequently bumped it or used that part of my finger to do things (typing was one). It has since moved more to the side and still takes a bump occasionally but not all that often. I have bruised it twice but its stayed put. Its not quite as sensitive as it was early on…

Sounds like it may be, I was hunting something that would operate a servo for my house door. I have a lathe and a mill so making hardware to suit my application isn't a big deal. Biggest issue I have is the RC522 I have conflicts with the library for the servo motor. that and I don't have enough know how to work with the…
-
I have that issue too @chrisbot, I found a sketch that looks promising but all the instructions are in chinese
-
ocean controls is about 10 minutes from my place I might pop in and have a look. see if I can get a better price on that button
-
I am working towards this with arduino, Ive still got a little coding to learn. Im having issues getting info of the implant but that may be the reader Im using. I'll be ordering something different soon
-
I tried with an A3144 cheapo off ebay, Ill order one of those and have another go I do have an idea for a magnetic switch
-
I played with an arduino and a hall effect but couldnt get a read off my implant. External magnets were fine but the implant wasnt strong enough. I was only using a cheap hall effect and am still learning coding so I think I may be able to adjust the sensitivity.

Im in Melbourne Kids party this weekend but I should be free after that

I'm an on again off again smoker, my last stint off was 2 years. During this time I was trying to learn to code arduino (without much success). I've been back on for about a month now I'll try coding again if I have any luck I'll let you know . Either way I'll be off again soon.

I've got a magnet and an RFID, I'm very selective of who I tell about them. My theory is usually that they don't really need to know and I'm not needing any validation. It does spin people out a little when I check an alternator just by waving my hand over it though. I do have a bonus that a lot of my friends are tech…
-
Ive got 6 screws and 2 plates in my back and have never been offered or asked for any paper work, the scar is usually enough. quick wave with a wand and your off. cant see a magnet being any different. Also the older machines pick up my assortment but new ones dont
-
that is awesome

I had mine implanted by a surgeon in Australia, so I may be the one IvoTheSquire is talking about. I consulted my Dr and he felt that doing it was the better option, rather than dealing with an infection if I botched it myself. I had to sign some indemnity forms and it was't too badly priced. It may be worth the…

sorry that wasn't a good link but the rough idea. you can get a kit that is independent of the key switch. could use just the button and switch it all with arduino and some relays
-
yeah I was going to work around it and trigger a solid state relay with arduino instead of the key switch
-
I unfortunately dropped it while trying to get it to open and broke the screen. While its apart Ill install a new button. I may play with it more because ts cool though
-
This was my next implant idea I wanted to go entirely keyless. I was going to use something like this. and an arduino to trigger it instead of the key. on one circuit and another for the central locking. I do have concerns with the security of the system though and have been trying to solve this.
-
My electric guru is suggesting inductive charge to a solid state ultra capacitor, smaller lighter and longer service life
-
sounds fair enough, at least he didnt just turn me away. was worth the chat
