That's my thought process. The surface area of mine gets bigger when i flip it over the wrong way. FYI Vivokey will be EMV capable and there are things supposedly in the works to partner up with a major company so hopefully sometime in the next few years we will be able to make payments with an implant.in RFID/NFCJuly 2018

Those would definitely be too small. There's a fine balance between too big and too small. That's the reason why the most recommended size is 1x3mm. Yes, smaller magnets have less mass and will more easily react to weaker fields. But if they are t...in MagnetsJuly 2018

@nothot As in stacking them first and then coating them? Thats an interesting idea. If the resin is rigid enough it might keep them from sliding. Although i have seen that a lot of them tend to soften up a little after enough time in vivo. But wit...in MagnetsJuly 2018

The reason that smaller magnets are better for sensing is that larger magnets have too much mass to pick up more slight vibrations. Think of a large block magnet. Will you be able to feel it vibrating from an electrical cord next to it? Most likel...in MagnetsJuly 2018

@Crucible Actually the problem of them rupturing around the edges was a problem with the first dip coated ones. The new injection molded ones he sells have a very long success rate due to a more even coating. He also uses a much tougher silicone t...in MagnetsJune 2018

Unless you've been through an MRI or something out of the ordinary that could cause it to lose magnetism, pretty much the most likely scenario would be that the coating failed and it is breaking down. Depending on who made the magnet, there are di...in MagnetsNovember 2017
