IIRC, the data field that determines which character the amiibo identifies as must be marked as read-only or Nintendo's software won't identify it as a valid amiibo. Meaning, if you ever wanted to swap the amiibo data out or use the implant for non-amiibo purposes, you'd have to just replace the implant.
-
@Zerbula I think it is supposed to pull the device out of the incision around the implant instead of pushing the implant in. It's kind of the opposite of the standard injectors.
-
@Magnetic it has been less than 2 years since the preorders shipped for the m31, so not quite 4 years since they've been sold out.
-
@McSTUFF my car's the same, so I have my reader wired to the circuit for the key hole on the door.
-
Pinging @Benbeezy to make sure he didn't have any problems with his donut magnet experiment.

Damn, I was just informed that an event I'm staffing got moved from next weekend to the same weekend as this. I'm hoping it gets moved again, but if not, I might have time to show up just for the night festivities.

I believe they said they are going to put their videos up on YouTube "throughout the year"

I believe this is the concept you are looking for: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamarckism

So, who all is going to this?
-
@glims I'm on the last day of my trial. I took 20mg BID for 25 days to get through my gram. The first half gram I took orally, and the second sublingually at the same dose. Abstained from caffeine and alcohol. I was also taking DHA, Uridine, CDP-Choline, Noopept, Coluracetam, Methylene Blue, Curcumin, ALA, ALCAR, CoQ10,…

If legality is your criteria for being "clean", (please do not take offense) 4-AcO-DMT (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/O-Acetylpsilocin) would be worth looking into. It is not specifically scheduled. Other than a 5-HT2A agonist, I don't know of anything notable for having your desired effect, although it shouldn't hurt to…
-
Not necessarily at nootropic dosages, but psilocin has been noted to occasionally cause users to relive forgotten memories. Assuming these memories are traumatic, you'd also be in a mind-state most likely better equipped to integrate them.
-
Can we maybe get a thread stickied concerning this? I feel that we get a new person every couple days asking this same question.
-
Same way. These sorts of labs usually have a minimum order larger than hobbyists are looking to spend or use, so compounds unavailable from small sale vendors are usually procured as groups to meet order requirements.
-
I'm going to go out on a limb and say absolutely not. You'd have to find a trustworthy lab to synth it and arrange for testing. I understand it is rather difficult to obtain sample data to compare the analysis to.
-
@glims Have you noticed anything significant yet? What dose are you running? Are you taking anything else with it? I just received some in the mail a couple days ago.
-
Give it some time. The read range is very small and any inflammation will hinder it, even if it doesn't look swollen. I think my tag took about 10 days before it was readable.
-
I think he's going for something like, "Hey, boy-oh!" Biohack -> Boyohack
-
I was looking into it for the same reasons. Obviously, your payload has to be something with a pretty low dose depending on the implant lifetime and size you're going for. Selegiline, BPAP, maybe Coluracetam were what I was imagining. B12 might be a good candidate for a prototype, depending on how available and accurate…

I had my tragus done by Cassox at Grindfest. I removed the suture on day 4 and was continuing to ice it and dose ibuprofen. I thought it was looking decent, but today I saw that the magnet had been pushed out and was exposed to air. It slid right out without resistance when I went to remove it.
-
Bird, I can give you a ride Sunday night.
-
Excellent! @galticus and I will most likely be there. I have another interested in tagging along too. Not sure what day(s) we'll be coming up just yet, but if there's still room on the schedule, I'd love to get one of my m31s implanted.
-
I was going to say something about that too, but I think Oni suggested it for resterilizing the injector.
-
How about ethylene vinylacetate? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexplanon Replicating this with a nootropic is something I've wanted to do for a while.

An implantable drug delivery device is actually something I've been interested in. It doesn't seem to be to difficult to replicate something similar to Implanon/Nexplanon (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexplanon) with a different payload. I read the patent, and manufacturing looks to be a relatively simple process.
-
@AlexSmith, you're able to read both tags without issue? Are you able to reliably choose one tag to read out of the pair based on antenna placement?
-
My group will be a little late. We'll probably arrive around 7-7:30pm on the 4th.
-
I have a couple like minded people that would love to head over. I should be free one of the listed dates. Excited to see what everyone's working on.
