The biohack.me forums were originally run on Vanilla and ran from January 2011 to July 2024. They are preserved here as a read-only archive. If you had an account on the forums and are in the archive and wish to have either your posts anonymized or removed entirely, email us and let us know.
While we are no longer running Vanilla, Patreon badges are still being awarded, and shoutout forum posts are being created, because this is done directly in the database via an automated task.

So it has been awhile since I have been here but I wanted to just update you all that I did actually put together an HD tDCS setup. I used EEG electrodes and spliced with wires of four electrodes and attached them to a single channel output. It wo...in Prosthetics, wearables, and hapticsJuly 2013

So....taking on the task of building your own device is pretty awesome, and definitely something a biohacker would find fun and challenging, however for anyone who has the expendable cash I wanted to share this:http://www.trans-cranial.com/It is a...in Prosthetics, wearables, and hapticsDecember 2012

@rdb, but every time I see pictures or video of HD tDCS sessions, it appears they have several small disc electrodes placed around the stimulation area. So.....anyone familiar with this guy's research? He did exactly what you are talking about doing. He implanted the chip that communicates with the sonar device in his spinal column.http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,2050030,00.htmlin Prosthetics, wearables, and hapticsNovember 2012

I'd be interested in sharing my experiences with biohacking. I haven't any magnets...but for the past year I've been experimenting with transcranial direct current stimulation. I have conducted a number of studies to illustrate how it has improved...in CommunityNovember 2012
