I've just created an account but have been browsing this forum for a while. I'm very excited to be a part of this community. My background is mainly synthetic biology, but I dabble elsewhere (which seems to be common here). Any useful tips to getting started would be great, or just say hello!

Same here, I have been lurking for months and have read nearly every thread that has been posted in here.
Only recently have I been into biology. Otherwise my passion has been in the field of network security and adapting what has already been figured out and doing what I can to make it better.
