Well, algae i've kinda mentioned before, and i think thats much easier. Perhaps doable. They arent usually that aggressive, and can be tuned to survive in lungs (the kinda that dont really need sunlight) and can be the kind that survive by being semiparasitic and thus attach to gills/flesh. Thought a bit more about it, and…

And.. You'd need to place the cutting point(dunno what its called in english) much higher, otherwise the hard materials you'd chew on would slice up your gums. And infection is a bitch with implants.. Pondered titanium fangs for many years myself..
-
Methinks you've seen too much naruto.. That being aside the point, a huge problem would be that you'll somehow need to protect the symbiotic colony from invading insects. And you'd be royally screwed if the colony mutated or got replaced by another species, as species that would compete for that kinda enviroment also most…

Retried, definitively not impressed. No decent effect noticeable. Hour 1: Facking hell those pills are HUGE! :( Throat hurts..Hour 2:first hours, no real change apart from elevated blood pressure.Hour 3: Slight headache. possible swelling in the mouth. A bit more tired..Hour 5: Maaaaaybe a slight increase in energy? Tested…

WTB additional phonological loop(s!)!No, seriously though.. I could see such a device being used widely in the future, as thats a serious limitation in today's society.

@Jthoma99: THe cost is highly fluctuating, the problem is that almost all will not sequence the whole thing. the-https://www.scienceexchange.com/services/whole-genome-seq-thing was the latest i found. (TL;DR: 350$.) And the kits.. There are too many and too fast changing market.. Most dont deal with viruses afaik, though..…

And take care to mind which metals you use if you have the crappy kinda fillings in the teeth you dont remove, or the materials used if many. You get an ion stream otherwise as the metals act like a car battery and dissolve slowly.(not saying it'd melt down, but most softer/heavier metals will slowly accumulate in the…

Tried it yesterday, not even close to impressed. No effects besides higher blood pressure and very slight headache. That, and the painful experience of swallowing those HUGE pills.
-
@Jthoma99: Increased neurogenesis and regeneration of telomeres. How to: First get a couple of companies/university peeps to map my genes.(stuck here atm..)Secondly get a good crispr/cas9 kit and learn/experiment, find and research as good a genetic change as i can. (Looking for a way to get the genes swtiched on/off during…

I'd like to have a symbiotic multipurpose nanobot swarm with as high AI as possible. And 'til that i'd appreciate a working google glass with well made search & context display. And for now.. I'd like to change my genetical makeup, and for that i need as in NEED to find a frickin' company that'll sequence my dna (not just…

I ordered some, will tell what i think (pun intended) on them.

For us with sleep disorders, this might be a better alternative to melatonine.
-
Would you even want to make that personality trait known? As in, the military is alot more about conformity than individuality..
-
Sceptical but curious. It its reasonably well/consistently made im gonna order... So.. Updates are requested! O_O

Diet, varied, unfortionately too varied times (see below), coconut oil for the mct in the morning, a low intake of caffeine, on a few pills because depression. (Kinda curious about liver toxicity (as it ties in to sleep disorders/depression)Pills: lamotrigin, amitriptylin, sertralin and modafinil for depression.. Ramipril…

This to me is relevant.. It must be played with!

chickendiner: Err... Only to americans.

Sweden.. -_-
-
Hrm.. As i've said before, if i get get a few genetic changes with only <40% risk, ill do it.So will look into this again.. That being said, are there highly experienced peeps around here that could/want to help review my changes before i take the plunge?
-
i'd go if i could..
-
afaik its very hard to connect the right ones (and prevent them from coming unplugged), also they tend to atrophy if connected to electrodes if not supplied with the correct stimulus and some more problems with the chemical part of the connection i cant recall... I'd go for stem cells & such to see if the nerve cells…

Hm... I do like the concept of respirocytes.. Especially a self-refilling one.But what biochemical function could be coopted to bind oxygen until the levels are too low?
-
Religious reasons? O_oAs in end times, mark of the beast?
-
And, how stupid on a scale 1-10, is it to want to change the neuregenesis levels and sliiightly (as in 1-3%) increase the ammount of certain glial cells & grey matter in general?
-
Thanks. So then im off to get a home crispr kit & experiment on some poor guppies.. i will need to research the bbb more, it seems.. That being said, if i would want to make a permanent (slight) change, how would i go about it to reach almost all cells in the body? How about the bone marrow & those odd systems that pump out…
-
Anyone have a good paper/link that explains means of delivery?(afaik its a problem to reach bone marrow and so on)
-
But how is the co2 expelled then?
-
@chironex: Thank you. Very nice site indeed. :)
-
If you find a good delivery system for genetic alteration, do tell. I'm getting stressed and frustrated on the subject.(that is, for adult subjects)
-
@Chironex I hope you're right. Afaik nanobots could be used to edit genetics and "https://www.technologyreview.com/s/600774/top-us-intelligence-official-calls-gene-editing-a-wmd-threat/" and so on.And i recall some "gray goo" hysteria (cant find it tho) also being discussed..Im not even close to an expert, just saying it…
