Given that the average persons finger in only about 16-20 mm wide I think that 10 mm after the coating process is very large if the intent is to put it in a finger for sensing for my liking at least. If you are looking at using it is a lifting magnet in the palm it might not be too big. For comparison the Sense52 is 3.5 mm…

Where are you going to be putting it is what will determine if it is too big. If you are going to do finger I would say it is too big at almost 10mm.
-
If you don't know the basics of what the magnet should be coated in I would not even start to think about cutting open your finger/hand without doing lots of reading first. That being said the haworth magnets are some of if not the best magnets on the market. Since it is a good idea to wait a little bit and read up on them…

Who is the supplier?
-
@JoinTheHippies Any update?
-
Just get one of the steve haworth magnets.

I have set up a clean area covered in plastic and sealed surgical towels that I set down after scrubbing everything down with clchlorhexidine and iso

@cassox I am in college housing and would prefer not to get evicted. I have permission to do implants but lidocaine is on a list of prohibited substances. How well does topical work and is it better than an ice bath.
-
I have done one rfid implant and on nfc without any pain killing and I was planning on putting my hand in isopropyl alcohol cooled down to around -5c and keeping my hand in it for about 5-10 min.
-
@Cassox Are you talking about during the procedure or after? I am talking about during the procedure. Lidocaine is not an option for me.

But what about an audio recorder? Or a simple dvr and minicam? I'm just thinking about ways to avoid similar issues. We could make people change into a…

If what they are saying is true it is definitely something that needs to get shut down. If you look through the forums you can start to see a trend where Samppas has some strange business practices.

I didn't make this clear sorry I was trying to plate the SMM magnets I already have to do some testing. I do bouldering and some others I do it want magnets and I am trying to find through testing on myself (starting with the haworth magnet) what one interferes the least with climbing and hold up the best

@cassox Was there a reason people were saying that they weren't as strong as the m31 or was it just that they thickens of the coating was dampening the feeling?
-
@Cassox If I were to try and plate them should I try to avoid Acid-Based solutions?
-
@cassox TiN is highly conductive so I may pull out my old bench psu and get some gold plating solution to try coating a couple at different voltages to see if I can get it to work at all. I just ordered a steve haworth magnet but I am a little worried that it won't give me the best results because it has been autoclaved
-
@delta12 who was your supplier?
-
What type of things are you looking for? I at a university with a lot of artists that would probably be willing to do some stuff. I think something like amal graafstra's xray but a vector graphic may be cool(I am not artistic at all so that may be a horrible idea)

I would totally be down for a biohacking shirt esp if I could use btc (or similar) to pay.
-
I would start by doing as much research into how ulcerative colitis works and what interactions is has with current treatment to see if there is a common thing that they focus on. I am also interested in this so I may write up some of my finding if you want a second person working on this I would be on board!

This sounds like a similar concept to the thought emporiums video on lactose intolerance. My question is how would the body respond to Fibrobacter succinogenes being in the body and would our micro biome be a good environment for it to grow

So there are two main options, hand and ear. The hand is a lot more useful for most people(not all). The reason the hand is as imbellis said nerve endings. the ring finger or in some cases with larger magnets in between the trapezoidal and medicare bone of the pointer finger are the most common places in the hand. The…

I am a big fan of the haworth magnets they are some of the safest ones, while not the strongest they are a good choice for a magnet implant
-
@Cassox what resin are you using for your testing and if possible do you have a link to buy it
-
Where is one able to get those 10993 certified Polymers without buying in bulk
-
If you are already thinking of how to remove it I would take a look at what you are going to be using it for and maybe try using a nfc key tag first. I have one in my left hand and it isn't noticeable and does not impact my life negatively. I am still able to do rock climbing with it in my hand so it should not stop you…
-
@Sandra where exactly in your arm did you put it? I was thinking of putting it in my arm but don't want to cause any problems by hitting muscle or anything else important. Is the process for the arm the same as the hand(in between the thumb and pointer finger)?
-
I would need one that can tell me the temperature as well
