No worries. Take as long as you need, I'm more than happy to wait a little longer for a better end result.
-
It's worth noting that if they're the same ones super magnet man was doing when I bought em, neodymium is more or less the same colour as the parylene coating so it might be hard to tell when you've cut through the coating you're intentionally damaging.

Yes, I grabbed 10 of these myself and every single one failed my tests. Also grabbed 25 of the 1x3mm and all of them were bust too. Be careful!
-
Please sign me up for the next batch also :)

AFAIK they can't get much bigger than the ones commonly used already because they start to get in the way of blood flow after a certain point, but someone has probably tried to stick a ceramic disk magnet in their spine or something along those lines already... quick edit: also the larger the object the more likely the…

I'll admit, I didn't even think about security issues regarding a clear wallet... but I'm certain if you stuck it on a popular celebrity it would sell like hotcakes. Might even dope them with something luminescent for bonus points!

Very interesting. Reading the comments on Youtube, seems like it's pretty tough stuff if you can't find anyone to tear it, but from the video it looks flimsy as anything and very thin. I'm sure you'll be at the forefront of a new fashion craze if you can get clear faux leather wallets to take off.

It's a little late, but never forget sci-hub. They have a lot of stuff readily accessible without having to spend an arm and a leg. http://iopscience.iop.org.sci-hub.io/article/10.1088/1758-5090/9/1/015006/pdf

I'd say it's looking pretty much perfect from a user perspective.

I would say you're fine to continue posting here. It's not like you're just endlessly bumping the thread without adding to it.

The biggest problem I see is that people with access to these advances will consistently outperform people without them, leading over time to a divide between humans and enhanced humans... who will then go on to have kids who will be upgraded and the cycle will continue until the unenhanced (the poor, the unlucky) die out…

Awesome, so I'm looking for bubbles of hydrogen gas. Thanks very much! I guess I'll post a failure rate here once I get it delievered.
-
@Benbeezy Well, that's pretty low quality. :( I've ordered 25 of two different parylene coated magnets from there, how do you test their coats?
-
I know that layering additional parylene makes the whole coating less stable and easy to peel off... maybe if you coat with parylene followed by diamond like @Jupiter said it would be the best of both worlds? Although I'm thinking that the diamond probably wouldn't increase the shear strength of the magnet, which I think…

Well hey, if he's monitoring your condition you're probably much better off doing what he says. I'm just some guy, I don't have any formal training in this area. It might've been some very specific situation that the sooner rather than later removal applies. TL;DR: Your artist is trained in this and I am not, do what he…

Are the stitches still in? I've heard that it's not a good idea to keep them in for longer than three or four days as they trap wick in moisture and encourage infection.
-
The nickel-only 3mmx1mm I am also going to try sticking to a fingernail for a week or so, see if I can get any reading off it. I'm still not sure how long or what I should be testing the parylene stuff in, but I've got anywhere from a week to 21 days (international shipping WOO!) to work that out. I'm guessing we want…
-
Thank you for finding those, but yeah N35 is the lower end of what is currently sold, probably wouldn't be good enough for any sensation. I've purchased some of the parylene magnets from above, as well as their nickel only counterparts and some parylene coated M63-ish sized magnets. I got a fairly large sample of the…

*squeams internally* Yeah, looks like it's just a yank machine. I feel a little less happy with my toes now that I know you can literally just pull off the nail with (apparently) no additional treatment. That's really gross, but I guess kinda useful too...
-
I'd also like to know if there's any reliable source for these. EDIT: Well, I just bought some from https://supermagnetman.com/products/d1005a-parylene?variant=11410256259 I dunno how reliable they're going to turn out to be, I mostly just want to see if I'm game to perform self-implantation with only ice water and basic…

He goes through some pretty interesting stuff, by the looks of it. I subscribed just for the sake of remembering his channel when I have nothing left to watch.

I, for one, hope that everything turns out OK. Buuuut you might wanna get some triple antibac or something for next time at least. EDIT: At the very least use alcohol at 50%+ alcohol content, and remember that it is not a sterilizing agent, only a disinfectant.

Looks like he hyperlinked this: https://human.biodigital.com/widget/?be=1P1y&bgstd=51,64,77,255,255,255&ui-annotations=true&ui-help=true&ui-tools=true&uaid=2BPTa in the word 'below'... not sure how an anatomy viewer would help the forum style though.

The studies of tumours relating to rfid implants stopped in 2006... we've gone a decade without another scare so it's safe to say whatever may have been causing these tumours has been remedied accidentally or intentionally.

I've used a few forums running on Discourse and I have to say I really like the way it all seems to just make sense. LittleBirdElectronics and ForgeUnity (RIP) are two that come to mind. @Meanderpaul the reason the users page looks the way it does is because the users are by default being sorted based on a metric that…

Yes, sodium hydroxide is the chemical most frequently used to perform saponification (the chemical process of turning fats to soap). It is very dangerous when handled incorrectly (chemical burns, blindness... the usual from strong alkali, NaOH is 13+ pH I think) so if you decide to do anything with this, don't splash it…

Woah. Thanks for the detailed info! Very interesting that reversing the electrodes seemed to reverse the state change. I struggle with bursts of depression multiple times a week so I'm thinking something like this could really help me out in that respect. I only need the effects to last a few hours every few days. I'll be…

This entire thread makes me think of "makes my blood boil" "feels like my blood is on fire" and such. Nooooo thank you. Although it could be interesting to discover pain receptors in places of the body you'd never felt before.

@Birdhandz Does the 'up' last as long/feel the same as a standard caffeine hit? Any headaches/itching from the treatment?
-
@AlexSmith I too would like to be added to the list. Looks like you're going to have a hell of a job unless you plan to automate the notifications.
