"If you took the "mind replacing" or "mind uploading" path, I had an idea for that. I would take my artificial neurons and separate them, with high speed links connecting them. It's gets pretty difficult to kill a billion individual neurons. I don't know any solutions for biological immortality." Uploading is not a path to…

I think the general consensus was that inside the body there's no usable gradients

Nice device, but do you have plans to use it in some form?
-
Their site mentions a "homeopathic combination" that they use for aftercare - that sets alarm bells ringing for me.
-
"By "Get over my Autism" are you referring to suppressing symptoms, or attempting to eliminate the disease itself? I have some limited experience dealing with severe autism as a clinician working with clients, but am not sure where you (you seem to be functioning well), might hope to go with utilizing nootropics or other…

For one thing, they sell a device called the "q-link pendant" that consists of a single 0ohm resistor and a load of fancy looking PCB traces and claim "it doesn't work through normal electronic means" and that the plastic housing "resonates" and balances your energy. Standard hippy new-age nonsense marketed to the "electro…

Q Link is pure nonsense

Curing aging is not something you can feasibly do as a layperson at home. It just isn't, sorry to be harsh. What we call aging is a mix of problems that come as side effects of normal metabolism, you need to attack all the problems together and that's hard. It's why I sometimes donate money to SENS (see sens.org for…

For those talking about overpopulation and "death ceremonies", i'd like you to google, read and understand "fable of the dragon tyrant", or just have some simple ethics and realise that life is a valuable thing and nobody should be required to die. Death is a bad thing, human life should have an expiry date just because…
-
Life extension: see sens.org "Death reversal": makes no sense, the definition of death is permanent irreversible cessation of life. Once your brain is destroyed, you can't be brought back no matter what. With regard to the recent media stories about "reanimation" - that's more like repair of a mostly dead brain than actual…

I'm already experienced with nootropics, but i'm currently rather broke so it'd be awesome to get a restock.
-
The central hub idea is basically what i'm building with my CyborgNet protocol.
-
I'm also interested in an update
-
It'd be awesome if you could sell a full device, especially if already coated and ready to sterilise+implant.
-
"hit hand with a pan" That's a little close to home......

My mother worked as a nurse for years and had very practical concerns about risk (infection and such), she seemed more reassured when I told her I used plenty of antiseptic etc but still wasn't fully happy and believes the risks aren't worth it. If it's a religious belief or just finding the idea creepy then it's less…

I'm also interested in a couple of them

Getting silicone coating soon, paid for it and will be posting the device off when I get round to it.

Try holier-than-thou.co.uk for haworth magnets
-
I have a medicalert tag with cryonics info on it, if you want one with information about implants then just put stuff like "RFID tag in right hand" or whatever on it. That said, small implants like RFID tags and magnets don't need to go on medicalert tags.

Who the hell sells diphenhydramine as a nootropic? It's like the complete opposite, that's not just a mistake that's active malice.
-
lipo charging circuit, fancy Qi charger with really nice distance, bluetooth module

The thing to do is to use vendors that are trustworthy and stay away from "too good to be true" deals. A few trustworthy vendors that i've used myself: Relentless Improvement - best for nootropicsLEF (Life Extension Foundation - they also support some important research, i'm a member and have been for a few years) - best…

Rather than allergies, side effects would be a bigger issue - i've found the two big ones to be headaches and nausea from some things. Excessive choline has also at times triggered a mild depression, if you don't know to look out for it then it can cause psychological issues and proper depression.

Merry giftmas to all. I received parts which will go inside me.

HA?
-
Not really, the iPhone for example is loaded with DRM crap and the average android handset won't really run a non-android linux reliably.
-
As to the iPhone - no, not a chance of making it work for this purpose. There's a slim possibility that an android handset could be made to work, but why bother when you can buy processors on their own without the fuss of trying to convert a phone into a general purpose computer?

To be clear, i've already got a basic voice interface working via bluetooth, which means a subdermal bluetooth headset + the edison will in fact allow me to get online anywhere with wifi.
