@AlexSmith I have since found a Lidocaine source. Chironex recommended Rupharma. Thanks though!
-
@suncat Cool! Most of my EE friends are reeeal squeamish about anything surgical. (I'm molecular bio) I have I think one who is always interested and likes to watch me implant things, but doesn't have any himself.
-
I have so many regrets. @Zerbula Your job sounds reeeeally cool. @tekniklr Nice! I've been looking into getting into computer programming (I guess more than I already know). I only have experience with/can only use Ruby, what's a good jumping off point from there do you think? Also yeah I see no reason to be fighting I…
-
@puzbiks1 It was mentioned by @Zerbula earlier in this thread that KY jelly is an appropriate surgical lubricant.
-
@Zerbula is there any chance it flipped?
-
Thanks so much. I appreciate the advice. I'm gonna start looking into all this and phasing it into my life.
-
@Aeternaeon I'm also a "big guy". I'm 6'2 and about 265 and want to be able to run longer, climb more easily/get tired less (I rock climb as a hobby), and also not suffer extremely negative side affects. I'm not really looking to "bulk up" or anything like that. Just make some things easier/different.
-
Sorry I’m realizing I didn’t really provide any information for you about anything. The type of thing you’re talking about is somewhat not feasible currently. The reason for this mainly: think about how quickly Bluetooth drains your phone battery, then think about how big the battery in you’re phone is (spoiler alert, not…
-
I have questions as well. Mainly: what kind of things fit into this category, and what results do each produce? I guess what I'm wondering is, where I to start something like this, what path would/should i go down?
-
I don't have resources for you, but I was talking earlier today to a professor I know who is using RFID chips implanted in teeth to detect the amount of stress hormones in a person's body, by using their toothbrush as a reader/charger.
-
Yeah. If you're friends with someone who works in a lab with them you might be able to convince them to start you a culture.
-
Where do you guys source these things? I'm interested in trying more of this type of thing and would like to know more.
-
Such a price seems highly unlikely as they usually go for hundreds of dollars.
-
@chironex Thanks a lot! That's basically perfect for what I needed, I appreciate it.
-
@Beano thanks I appreciate the advice. Probably likely I'll just stick to the one use kits then.
-
@Semilovr12 I don't know about a comparison underneath skin, but: https://forum.biohack.me/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/23404/#Comment_23404 There's a v1 in the upper middle of that photo you can compare to.
-
@ChrisBot did you end up doing anything? How's the healing going?
-
@ranjanabhishek089 If you don't mind my asking, why are you so excited about these magnets specifically? There are other sources/community members who have good implant solutions available right now.
-
@bentpins where are you choosing to put it in? @FireBreathingReptile how was the pain level on this one with the bigger needle vs the original?
-
^^^ All true. Do the thing.
-
I did my first implant (solo) or otherwise a few weeks ago. Mine wasn't as intense as yours but I definitely can relate at least a little. Good luck I hope all goes well.
-
Holy shit are you okay that looks intense. How did it feel/did lidocaine work out and what did you end up going with?
-
I'll speak to some chemists on Monday and see if I can find out more.
-
Some of the pigments used for anti forgery protocols in bank notes are extremely IR reactive (immediately fluoresce when hit with IR) and partake in high energy reactions (immediately defluoresce when IR is absent), but when I've seen them used they don't react to anything less powerful than like an infrared laser or…
-
What kind of pigment were you thinking? Could probably be tested with a pair of glasses very easily.
-
As far as I understand, everything gives off infrared so it would all fluoresce and you'd sort of just be covering your eyes with an opaque screen.
-
@Beano yes please on the photo when it's healed.
-
I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about an NFC chip but I just got one anyway cause "Oh why not it might be cool" and I have to be honest after getting it I just want to keep going. It will hit you once you have something in.
-
Thanks! That was really helpful, I just couldn't find anything anywhere.
-
@AlexSmith is your lidocaine kit going to be back in stock any time soon? Because I wanted to buy it with a firefly v2 for implantation when it comes out and want to plan ahead.
