Heartrate isnt directly affected by the tempo of music, but the tempo usually determines what type of mood the song has. The mood of the song is what usually messes with your heart rate. (Slow sad songs, fast exciting songs, etc) If vibrations could affect your heart rate, you'd still have to listen to it with your ears,…

As a person that is constantly paranoid of their heart rate, I like this

Promoted article from IntelliGEN it seems.

Bummer. I wanted to leave it out because I'm a beginner and I wanted the device to be smaller. Maybe when I get an arduino and some experience I'll try this.
-
Hey @McSTUFF are you able to explain how to make the infrared sensor without an arduino? I'm very interested in this and would like to recreate it.
-
When I got braces, I stopped being able to feel my teeth for about 2 days. My teeth didn't feel like they were mine anymore, so my experience tells me that it would feel very weird with different teeth.

The kickstarter has funded 74k out of its goal of 100k with more than a month to get to that point. I'm pretty sure it's getting funded.
-
I was also skeptical, but it's not too different from what people, especially in the bio hacking community, are doing all the time.
-
It's debatable that the price would be worth it with the results they had. I could see people doing this themselves with the current, but that's something I've objected to for myself.
-
Pain is pretty good motivation. Just saying. If not then I would just go with vibration feedback. I wouldn't think there would be any need for electrostimulation unless what you're doing is specific. I think this is a great idea, by the way.
-
Honestly I would love an excuse to put sensors on my forehead or somewhere on my face. A tragus implant is sounding kind of interesting right now.
-
Im very interested in this. I've always wanted some tactile feedback in games, but this sounds way cooler.

I have a thing for consciousness. It's very weird and very unexplainable. Consciousness is one of the only things I see as a necessity to preserve. If I was to make a copy, I don't believe it would be the same consciousness. That's why.
-
Could you clarify? I not sure what your question is.
-
I don't like the idea of copying either. That's why I said mind replacing. As in replacing the brain slowly, over time.
-
If you took the "mind replacing" or "mind uploading" path, I had an idea for that. I would take my artificial neurons and separate them, with high speed links connecting them. It's gets pretty difficult to kill a billion individual neurons. I don't know any solutions for biological immortality.
-
Can someone get (or already have) an implantation video of this?
-
I'm confident in humans ability to find some solutions. Without killing and or taking wealth from everbody.
-
Well think of this... Are you half human or half robot? I'm gonna let that sink in for a sec.
-
If this bone coating were to be damaged in the body, what would the reaction be? Could it heal?

The only reason I'm posting is because I'm one of those readers. In fact, this is the first time I've said anything. Also, without an account, I've been reading for about 2 months.
