  • The new soylent flavors are the bomb diggity. The Cacao tastes like a chocolate shake, and the Nectar tastes like fruit loops milk. Both go down super easy, and Iv'e been drinking through 4-5 a day no problem since they just taste good. 10/10 would recommend
  • FTPWiFi @Jupiter It's all about knowing how to use google, honestly. If you asked me to make something like this a few months ago, I would have had no idea where to start. Once you have an idea for a project the first step is to research the fuck out of it. for starters, just google keywords about the project (Arduino ftp,…
  • Also, take a look at the Adafruit HUZZAH. Slap an sd card slot on that baby, and you're good to go.
  • If you put together a list of features and hardware you have in mind, I could work on some of the code. Personally, I wouldn't worry about software too much until you have the hardware more or less locked down. There are lots of things that can go wrong with hardware that can be fixed via code. I haven't messed around with…
  • Pychohistory is what you are looking for. It's an interesting idea, but I think that like @ringdown said, you really have to know a lot of the variables before you can predict anything, and even then you would only be able to predict very general trends. As a sidenote, the Foundation series by Asimov is a wonderful Sci-fi…
  • That would be one big ass needle. Incision is the way to go as far as magnets go.
  • You have a point. I need to start a journal for this...
  • Why the two separate sensors? If you code it right, you could just use the one sensor as a toggle switch. Just put in a delay between reads so it's not constantly flipping while it reads a tag. If you put it in the door handle, just have a delay long enough to pull the handle after it unlocks, should only be a few seconds.
  • It's 3 days later, with at least 2 meals a day being joylent, and I'm having zero issues. If anything, I feel pretty damn great. Of course, this is purely anecdotal, but I don't seem to be having any problems living off of this stuff. There is an obvious difference in fiber content in this stuff compared to soylent, and…
  • @Rocco8620 I've been recently thinking about doing the handle instead of the mirror actually. Turns out that pretty much all of my mirror assembly is solid aluminum, only covered with plastic (I guess it's not a bad thing that it's tougher than I had imagined). My handles, however, are just plastic, as well as the cover…
  • @Ryderbike1 The teensy 3.5 has a built in sd card reader, and is... teensy. its a bit on the longer side, at around 2.5" with an sd card in it, but its only 0.7" across and .1" thick. However, the problem with an arduino based system is that you probably can't access the sd card with a regular file manager wirelessly.
  • @chironex Blendrunner also has an option to sort by oil content. I'm surprised to see Soylent at the bottom of the list, so your theory about it being fundamentally flawed may be on track. However, I don't think that it isn't something that your body isn't capable of adapting to, as there are plenty of people that live off…
  • I tried soylent for a while and just couldn't get over the fact that it wasn't too cost effective, and the taste was so bland. However, I just got a shipment of Joylent yesterday, and so far it tastes a ton better. If you are keen on finding a meal replacement that works best for you, take a look at Blendrunner. It has a…
  • What kind of controller/antenna setups did you guys use for your car setups? I hate the look of an antenna taped to my windshield, so I'm working on fitting it into the side-view mirror instead
  • Every car is going to be different, and working on the ignition system can be a bit dangerous if you mess up.there are a lot of security checks that your car goes through when you stick the key in it, and if you try to bypass them incorrectly you can end up bricking your computer and having to tow it to a dealership to…
  • I've been using eagle so far, since its the program that I will be using at my job once I'm better at it. I mostly just need to work more on designing the board itself. There's a lot of rules and such that I need to figure out so I don't get a malfunctioning board once its printed.
  • Once its done, and I get a working version, I'll definitely be posting on here to see if anyone wants to chip in on a larger order, maybe have it pre-populated. I think that there would be great value in an NFC board designed specifically for xNT implantees.
  • Huh. Idk where the hell i was looking for it then. My project has evolved since the creation of this thread though, Ive decided to use a Teensy 3.5 as my controller, and im in the process of designing my own expansion board to connect the the DLP-FANT you recommended (which worked wonderfully with my keyduino). I'm using a…
  • Awesome, thank you! I'll definitely be grabbing one of these and trying it out. what kind of range (mm) are you getting with it?EDIT:Also, do you have any suggestions on hooking this up to my Keyduino? I see you used a TI dev board (which I didnt know existed until today) But its like $200 for a piece of technology from…
