@ArghressivePirate I started with an xNT chip myself after using NFC stickers and an NFC ring for practice. I also picked up an NFC book for practical us and understandable.

I have also read that LSD can cure migraines. There is even an episode of House MD Where he induces a migraine with nitroglycerin and uses lsd to stop it. I am not sure how effective it really is but maybe some research here is worth a try if they are plaguing your life.

I cannot speak for locating someone but I can say that you can make any room in your home ready for something like this. It will require you to clean the area very thoroughly prior to the procedure. to test out NFC technology I just got a ring from nfcring.com and to test how the magnets feel you could simple buy a neodymium magnet and super glue to to your ring finger or the fingernail. I am glad to hear more about the tenting issue than the location. In diagrams that location looks to only have tendons, but I can easily avoid those. I like the suggestion of doing it with tape and your teeth. I feel as though I would mess that up as MeanderPaul pointed out dexterity. I think I will get my friend involved…

Yes a finger magnet is what I had in mind. powering it externally sounds cool and safer. However then I'd have to carry a charger with me everywhere.

I was thinking wifi as those speeds can be faster. The battery and the charging are my biggest concerns. The battery could crack and poison me (potential to ignite?).
