I have been eyeballing some tech which could be modified for use in a speechless telephony setup. It is similar in ways to the video above. You would need to hook it up to earbuds or your cyberaudio to control the sound. http://www.ultravoice.com/how.htm So basically this emits a tone and you shape it with your mouth, much…

I dig this and hope you do it. I've worked on some of these things with my limited skills, usually trying to tie it into audio output. Bug detector: I played with this a while back. Your method is much more advanced. I was going to try to use a heterodyne to detect transmissions in 40MHz-4Ghz. I was trying not to involve…

I have a lot to add here. I'll type something out later tonight.

It would be cool to be Wang the human unicorn. http://www.thehumanmarvels.com/horned-humans-wang-the-human-unicorn/ Except I'd be a binicorn. Maybe this isn't related...

Sweet! I can't disclose those reasons and hereby retract any statements that may have alluded to any such reasons.

It seems a bit ageist. The lingo they used for the Teen Mom casting was much more liberal. It was gender biased though, so there's that. Also, the auditions were like 10 months before they started filming and I find that suspicious. ;)
-
actually, I think I'll start a new thread for this.
-
I'm eager for this event to get here. Let's do a roll call. So far we have: @rshtirmer @BirdMachine @AlexSmith @implant_in_me Me + 1 civilian Anyone else?
-
yeah, I even tried to force interference and was unable to achieve it.
-
Nice. I'll try to make it down for Friday night, Saturday & Sunday.
-
I think that would be cool. We might even be able to just host it on the forum. Maybe. I made a google map where people could tag their location if they wanted, but I don't think it ever got used by anyone but me.
-
@Meanerpaul yes, all the time. It works fine as long it is quiet.
-
@Meanderpaul they are pretty much spontaneously started on the forum, just like the way it happened in this thread.

nah, it turns out the MRI thing isn't really a big issue. Several people have had one with no consequences. You can hold a metal object in your hand and take it near an MRI without fear of it tearing through your fist. The skin is strong enough to keep it in place. At least it is in the areas where we have them.

You went with the cylinder magnet instead of the disk magnet? Nice. I found that they seemed to work better than the disks, so I'm kind of jealous. Let me know how it goes. The volume issue has been a bitch to work around. On a different note.... I ran into Neil Harbison and was asking him about his hardware. He is using…

Hi @implant_in_me I'm currently residing in St. George, UT and I go to Vegas every now and then. Shoot me some contact info and I'll let you know when I'll be down next. It's always cool to meet up with Grinders. About Defcon... I have inquired with the people originally in charge of the biohacking village but I still…

Argh! I had some of that titanium mesh stuff sitting around my garage since last year. I just went to find it for you but I guess it got thrown out. It was surprisingly stiff stuff.
-
@otptheperson has a good idea, I think. There are certain weaving patterns that are damned strong too. It would definitely need to be masterminded to avoid tourniqueting. Did anyone have this idea yet? http://www.fengyi-ti.com/category/titanium-washer.htm Like ringmail...kinda.

hmm. I thought the lover's magnets were something else, but I see you are right. Steve told me about genital magnets personally, so I know he does them. I don't know what he charges though.

I think this is doable. The electrolarynx has been around for a long time. Its a bit big, but probably has components that can be downsized by now. It might also work if you implanted it where the clavicles meet (maybe?).
