@PostHumanist, no I havent. I removed my previous magnet a few weeks ago so I am waiting for my ring finger to heal. I have also be focusing on the recover from my botched FlexNT install. Hopefully within the next month or so I will.
-
That wouldn't work for me :(What about the 8th or the 15th?
-
I would be very interested.
-
I'm guessing it might just be bruising. keep an eye on it.
-
I think it was a combination of both. Mostly the procedure though. I don't think that needle made a pocket that was big enough. I do have another magnet though. I am not sure if I will try this injection again but I will definitely putting in another magnet eventually.
-
I actually took the magnet out as well. I kept smacking it on stuff and eventually it migrated towards the surface of my skin and lost sensitivity. And I think it was infected. I would routinely have to squeeze out yellowish pus

Some pictures of the healing process They are in chronological order, highly recommended. http://imgur.com/gallery/fVRqH

(Part 2)Mistake #4: After care and wound maintenanceIf all of this hasn't made you cringe then I bet this will do it. The day after I did my implant there was an annual 5k walk/run in my town. I did use my better judgement and decide to walk instead of run it, but nonetheless I was still engaging in physical activity with…

I would highly recommend using lidocaine. I came very close to passing out on the first time I cut my finger open and had to stop the procedure. There are a few things that you should consider when starting the implant. - Make sure you had a good night's sleep- Like McSTUFF said, eat a good meal- Make sure that you can…
-
I received my tester magnet but I just haven't been able to find a suitable time to implant it. Busy time of year and I really don't want to have to worry about another implant right now...

why tho

My choice of food replacement was Soylent. I can't entirely say that it was a positive experince, but I am glad I did it. I went for 7 days without food, and it was actually pretty tough (although, I don't have much self control). One of the biggest issues for me was the taste and texture. Oh god it was weird. It didn't…

I mean, if you have to ask then you probably know the anwer...
-
Very cool! Do you have the schematic?
-
@Jackalopiate, good on you for going with Eagle. I've only been using it on and off for a few years now, but once you get the hang of it it can be really powerful.
-
Nickel is bad news. For real, stay away from them at all costs. You don't want that inside of you.
-
@Zwytechhacker, any updates on progress on the coating? Have you made coatings or coated anything? I'm willing to test anything you have.
-
So a bit of an update here. I had a bit of a hunch today and decided to lance it. At there was only blood. A few hours later it caught my eye again so I gave it a little squeeze and bam. Due to the greenish color I am assuming that the puss has been in there for a while. I squeezed it until it transitioned to white and…

Huh, that's pretty cool. Paging @Chironex.... This seems like something he may have worked on/ may be interested in.
-
@TheGreyKnight, I have to say that "Monotherm" really caught my attention. I haven't watched those videos yet, but after some google-fu it seems like the term "Free Energy" is being associated with it quite often. This device seems almost too good to be true. The power output must be minimal.
-
Oh cool, I wouldn't have thought about a chiropractor. Thanks
-
@McSTUFF, just curious, but how did you get an x-ray of your hands? I just got some more hardware under my skin and I think an x-ray would look pretty cool. Do you just have a buddy that is a radiologist?
-
My advice with these big projects is to take bite size pieces. Trust me, things are never as easy as they seem. With that in mind, try to make some small progress, and don't let cost stop you. Get what you can afford for now and do what you can. I am speaking from personal experince. Making no progress at all and waiting…
-
I feel like perhaps we are straying dangerously far into the world of therory. Have you made an progress on this project? Any research conducted? Parts ordered? Anything?
-
Alright so it's time for the actual writeup! Last night I implanted the flexNT prototype available from cyberise.me in the back of my left hand. I had been most excited to use my 3D printed injector that I had designed and was thoroughly disappointed at its performance. I started with standard pre-op procedure. I attempted…
-
@Proteus, haha, alright thanks for the reassurance.
-
@misslitty, no I have always had the bump. I think that I have relatively thin skin, and it may have migrated upwards during the healing process. If the bump has increased in size then it has not be immediately noticeable. @lvoTheSquire , Oddly enough I don't feel any pain around the magnet at all, but the skin on top of…
-
I'm not sure I understand, do you mean making an attachment for an actual injector, or designing it to look more like a traditional injector? Would you mind sketching it for me? @AmosKamal, that's exactly why I made it like that!
-
Update time. I added a plunger and I think that this might be the final version! I just need to tweak some of the print settings and dimensions and then it should be good for the final version. I will also post the link to thingiverse once I get the chance. I also have the solidworks files if any one is interested. I plan…

@ightden, I only have rum. Will that work? @Zwytechhacker, you should see if you can model this in CAD so that we can all get a better idea of what the final product may look like. Also, what is that little squiggly rectangle bit with the eye and the papery foldy looking bits at the bottom?
