  • Haven't gotten around to reading the link yet, but if you're interested in this sort of thing I recommend looking into genetic load and CRISPR (in that order).
  • My experience has been pretty similar. The Silicon Valley/H+ mag/Zerzan crowd seems pretty Randian or at best right-Rothbardian. Down here in the slums of the movement we get libsocs/anarchists, people who just don't give a shit, and Pinky & the Brain (I'm looking at you Rich. Whatcha wanna do today? ;) )
  • @Cobra_kid Please don't do that :( if it's getting supplies that's the issue, pm me and I can ship you almost everything you need. Use the right tools for the job, man; pipe wrenches aren't for machine head screws, even if you can kinda make it work, and this is your body and health we're talking about...
  • Not talking about the planning doc, talking about the chapters. you'd mentioned getting someone to edit for grammar etc., so I'm just throwing out there that I'd be willing to do that if I'm bored and having a slow day.
  • No promises on deadlines or w/e, but this is kind of informal so I'd imagine that's not a huge issue. I typically can finish editting ~2500-5000 word research papers/technical stuff in a day or two at most.
  • So, I've been kinda AWOL for a bit, and I'm not really looking to jump back into grinding headfirst, but this is something I'd like to help out in if yall don't mind. I R freelance manuscript/copy editor and ghostwriter, so if you want to send me your scripts for grammar/spelling/formatting edits this is a thing I do…
  • Thanks for sharing! It really does all come down to plasticity....not just for brain hacking specifically, but for any implants/hacks which are intended to extend or augment sensory apparatus, due to the limited brain "real estate" Lee mentioned. On another note, during the last 5 minutes or so of the video, I found myself…
  • I would recommend not doing that. if someone really wants epi, it's not all that hard to get a hold of. Shipping someone epi might pose an actual liability risk, as opposed to magnets or w/e
  • There are polymers which equalize pressure differentials to a certain extent, although I'm not sure how available they are to consumers
  • Has the wound healed over the magnet? As in, is there still a hole there? Is the implant area warm at all? Any weepage? That's very shallow. @Cassox, can you take a look at this?
  • What is the benefit of making it subdermal, other than pretty LEDs?
  • I recently purchased some non-magnetic metal tweezers on amazon. they're rather nice, and are a little more firm than the plastic ones, making dropping the implant less likely. paid about $6
  • O.o this is the second time I've heard this. to anyone else out there who used my vid as some sort of implant guide/walkthrough, please don't. That implant was very poorly done and was eventually removed. I put it up there specifically so people WOULDN'T do those things.
  • cass and glims are the brains, I just parrot :)
  • I highly recommend not implanting the parylene. @glims has run some lab tests on them, and they simply aren't up to par. @cassox is working on titanium coated ones which are far superior, and far cheaper than Haworth's, just give him some time :)
  • It has begun O.o All five test subjects are now subsisting on VAD Soylent powder and water. We will continue burning fat during this time so as to drop our retinoid levels as much as possible prior to beginning A2 supplementation. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this happen, and be sure to keep up with us at…
  • That last set was much better, Jack :) we'll keep yall posted on shipping dates/progress converting the prints into a 3d-compatible format.
  • mix water and salt in a cup, drop that shit in the cup. wait 10 days; if it's rusty, don't implant it. If it's not, you probably still shouldn't implant it, but there's no use trying to talk sense into anyone (including myself) that frequents this site ;)
  • You need NIH oversite. They don't approve testing by people like us :)
  • @Cassox is no longer recommending the resin coating. Would not recommend superglue; just the parylene is your best bet atm
  • In texas, it's an apprenticeship and takes about 1-2 years minimum. idk about the UK.
  • Oh dear...now THAT would be awesome :)

  • Can we have photos/diagrams of the implant location? Size, strength, coating? Has it caused any range of motion issues etc?
  • Haha, no worries Jack. If you prefer we can use mine; my shit's already on file and I jump at every chance I get to fuck with some pigs.

  • Hi everyone, We really appreciate all the applications we've received in the past few days. Unfortunately, we were unable to accept all of you due to budgetary restrictions; however, if you were not selected, you can rest assured that I have tucked your email away for safekeeping, and you'll be the first to hear from us in…

  • Grindhouse, bruh. You keep saying grindcore, and I'm like "Huh?? Dafuq does Napalm Death have to do with _______ idea??" xD
  • @rpyka, tip of the finger (fishmouth procedure) is under constant stress and pull. your wound should've been almos 100% closed by 3 days and pain pretty much gone by ten, but that area takes forever to heal because the incision never stays closed and lined up for long.

  • Doh...tip of the finger is about the worst angle you can come in from. Your piercer needs to get his shit together, he shoulda known better.

  • To the best of my knowledge, a magnet implants will not interfere with a keyboard unless you have an ancient one with reed switches. Scuba diving should be no issue. Although now I'm curious is having a magnet increases your chances of frostbite in extremely cold conditions...
