Hey All. I'm not sure if this has been brought up to you, but the solution to the problem could just be a treatment for the lunula.
If you look down at any of your nails, you should see a white crescent at the base of the nail. This is called the lunula. It is the site of nail growth. If you simply applied some sort of treatment to kill the lunular cells, you would never have to trim your nails again. On top of that, you could avoid the hardship of a nail removal.
