a month or so ago I got a tattoo over my diamond (it is a bleeding diamond) and the artist had to change out the needle after doing that tiny spot on my arm because it dulled the needle to much. and I have no issues with the repeated stabbing of the implant with the needle and it didn't harm the coating at all as it has given my absolutely no issues what so ever. I would say in my case the coating was perfect and with very promising results.
Sorry, I interpreted the old post wrong. I thought (hoped) this diamond coating was done at home with canning jars and a buzz box welder or some other DIY methods.

A few hints at how it was done in that thread.
Why nondisclosure? Corporate interest?
