Cauterization and transdermal implants

I was searching around for a bit and was wondering if any one has tried to use cauterization to prevent the rejection of implants. Has anyone ever heard of it being used? Even if there is a bit more scarring the applications of it may be worth it.

  • This wouldn't do anything to prevent rejection. Bleeding is easy to control and doesn't contribute to rejection.
  • Oh ok, I thought of using some thing like a fid to fuse the entire hole closed and prevent infection.
  • Maybe. I mean, burns of any kind are generally treated as being broken skin. I don't think that trying to burn an entire incision is going to provide a "seal" as much as you're thinking.

    Take a look at this:

(Sorry if it's a remedial; I don't know your background)
The thing is, the bleeding will stop but this will not seal the wound. Think of it like trying to iron two steaks together.
  • Thank you for that, I was thinking of the cauterization used in surgery and while watching the video realized my huge mistake in thought.
