Lifespan of xG3

I've searched the internet and the forums and haven't seen any info - does anyone have any information on the lifespan of an xG3 in vivo? Since it's glass, I imagine it is a lot longer than typical magnets in vivo, but just want to make sure. I'm looking into implanting one of my xG3's deeper in my ear canal, just outside the temporal bone, but want to make sure I don't have to worry about digging it out soon. Thanks!

  1. The bioglass could last indefinitely. Amal's had an RFID in that uses the same glass for 15 years now.

Good luck friend, and be careful
