Radioactive composte heap experiment

Have there been radio active composte pile experiments? If we can get frogs with three legs, couldn't we get some pretty crazy worms and bacteria from a radioactive composte pile?

I know this sounds stupid and brute force, but I actually think it's interesting and can at least produce some interesting mutation results.

This combined with splicing.

    It doesn't sound stupid. Look up atomic gardens. This is where ruby red grapefruit comes from.
