Migrating Implant

Alright, i self-installed a xNT implant in my left hand, and it seems like its moving down further into my hand than its original location. If anyone has experienced this before, what could be causing it and is it anything to worry about?

  1. Since the skin is so loose in that spot sometimes people experience a bit of migration as the implant settles. Unless you're very sedentary during the healing process, the thenar muscle underneath the implant will often push it to the side or even back like yours. Unless it's right up against a bone, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you would prefer to have it in a precise location, Amal recommends you "corrale" it. Shift it to where you want it, then take some tooth picks and place them on either side and tape them down tightly, then take some prenatal vitamins for collagen and just take it easy for a few days.

  2. Thanks for the info, definitely relieved a lot of stress on my end! :)
