It's just an attiny on a small board, really, nothing new.

I'm looking at a similar board for my Southpaw (magnetic compass implant) build: https://shop.ruggedcircuits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=51I know it'd be smaller if I went off of the Arduino, but it does make life easy.

Actually, the board you linked is a lot closer to the arduino than the digispark.Hmm... it can be done a lot smaller. Maybe I'll look into designing a smaller board, although hand-soldering it will be tricky because of the size.

He's actually working on a version two that is smaller, probably to sell again: http://authenticinvention.com/authentic/?p=260 Though if you design one I'd probably get that too. There's also the Femtduino, Though that can't be bought, I don't think. Design is open, though.
