The biohack.me forums were originally run on Vanilla and ran from January 2011 to July 2024. They are preserved here as a read-only archive. If you had an account on the forums and are in the archive and wish to have either your posts anonymized or removed entirely, email us and let us know.

While we are no longer running Vanilla, Patreon badges are still being awarded, and shoutout forum posts are being created, because this is done directly in the database via an automated task.

Is anyone going to BMES?

Title pretty much says it all! Will anyone else be attending the Biomedical Engineering Society Conference in Atlanta?

Edit: If so, stop by my poster and learn about platelets!

  1. Wish I could

  2. I'll let you know if there's anything wildly interesting!

  3. So how was the conference?
    Highlights?

  4. Almost died, but the conference itself was good!

I don't know if there was anything super pertinent to biohacking, but there was an interesting talk on biobots and how in examining the actin attachment, a researcher may have found an application for sickle cell disease.

Also a lot of very cool lab-on-a-chip and organoid research going on!
