MOF - Metallic Organic Framework

I was reading some interesting stuff regarding MOFs. A non toxic MFO can be used to pull water right out of the air. Heat from sunlight can then be used to heat it and extract the water.
Seems like an awesome project to do with the greenhouse.

  1. I watched some videos about this a couple years ago it was pretty amazing.

    Not only does it pull water out of the air but it does it at low relative humidity too... somedays I could pull water out of the air with a straw here.
    When I was watching they wanted to scale it up to provide water to desert areas.

    The greenhouse is an interesting idea. Usually you use fans and open windows to control the humidity, but a MOF could do that for you and recycle the water at the same time. Like a giant terrarium.
