Is there a way to bridge the skin divide with something like Qi but for data input? Because it would be a lot easier to just implant some wires down the knuckles to work like a powerglove?

Implanting wires is anything but easy, especially if you are talking about high flew areas like finger joints. I believe this topic has come up before but I can't find it at this red hot second.

Pacemaker failure reason number one is failure of the wires if I remember some paper correctly. So theoretically it's possible but you probably want to go a different approach, one using fewer wires.
