  1. The ultimate goal of myself and others is to be enhanced by technology. I am curious as to what was meant beyond the "Slave to technology we are" that was obviously stated.
  2. We can be enhanced by technology without being slaves to it. There are a lot of technologies we are slaves to and much of the economy runs on technologies that enslave us. Technology can be liberatory, but it isn't necessarily.
  3. I haven't watched the video yet but I would categorize slave to technology as cant live with out it. As an example I would say go stand in a city and wait at a cross walk count how many people don't have headphones in or a cell phone out. If you don't have access to a city try a restaurant same thing.

I'm not a fan for watching videos since the last one brought me to a cat video.... but ill give it a try.

  4. ok that solidified my thoughts on following video links...just short of a strange syfy cyborg porn intro I'm not sure how that is supposed to really discuss slave to technology.
  5. Hahahaha. @Meanderpaul "I'm not a fan for watching videos since the last one brought me to a cat video.... but ill give it a try." That is golden.

@MVB I really like your video. Beautiful in an unsettling and disconcerting way like a warning of a dystopian future. I really enjoyed it.

  6. what can I say ;)
  7. I believe that technological advancement is human advancement. Technology is helping us achieve our best potential.

However sometimes I do find myself neglecting personal relationships to spend time on my computer.

I think bio hacking is a very exciting and positive step forward in human evolution.

  8. "However sometimes I do find myself neglecting personal relationships to spend time on my computer."

This is really what I took from the video. I think biohacking is the opposite, it makes us more aware of our immediate surroundings and reality rather than further mediates it. Enhancing our senses increases our participation with the world.
