Cauterization and transdermal implants

I was searching around for a bit and was wondering if any one has tried to use cauterization to prevent the rejection of implants. Has anyone ever heard of it being used? Even if there is a bit more scarring the applications of it may be worth it.

  1. This wouldn't do anything to prevent rejection. Bleeding is easy to control and doesn't contribute to rejection.
  2. Oh ok, I thought of using some thing like a fid to fuse the entire hole closed and prevent infection.
  3. Maybe. I mean, burns of any kind are generally treated as being broken skin. I don't think that trying to burn an entire incision is going to provide a "seal" as much as you're thinking. Take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thZqxDjSJIk (Sorry if it's a remedial; I don't know your background) The thing is, the bleeding will stop but this will not seal the wound. Think of it like trying to iron two steaks together.
  4. Thank you for that, I was thinking of the cauterization used in surgery and while watching the video realized my huge mistake in thought.
