An alternatvive to transdermal implants. Dermal piercing mounts?

I'm new here so I'm not sure if this have been brought up. I did a quick search of the forum and didn't find anything.

Would it be possible to mount a device to a dermal piercing?

  1. Yes it has been done before. https://youtu.be/iUu0KuIZTCc
  2. That's exactly what I had in mind. Thank you.
  3. I'm really curious to know how those have held up, I believe he did that at least 2-3 years ago.
  4. Microdermals for jewellery are quite a normal thing now, i've pondered getting some myself for mounting hardware similar to that youtube video. The other thing i've pondered is using larger screws to attach things rather than magnets, since microdermal bases basically provide a hole you screw the jewellery into.
  5. When using skin to mount something please keep in mind what happens to your shirt when it catches on a loose nail. Magnets or a tension release system will be vital.
  6. I would only thread a device into your dermal piercing if you're sure it's somewhere it can't get caught on anything. Actually I'm pretty clumsy and uncoordinated so I wouldn't take the risk at all. Magnets for me.
